Who is Victoria Wood?
Systems thinker, conservation storyteller,
documentary photographer and videographer.
My work is modular and sits at the intersection of ecology, human systems, and visual storytelling—mostly from my sailboat somewhere along the Pacific Northwest coast. My background in psychology, philosophy, business, and operations led me through NASA think tanks, the tech industry, and years of consulting with early-stage companies. Today, I’m focused on building a body of work that inspires understanding and protection of life—above and below the waterline.
I use photography, fieldwork, and longform writing to connect people to the often-overlooked systems that sustain life: kelp forests, marine mammals, coastal communities, and the quiet logic of ecosystems. My goals are to to spark deep curiosity, expand access to high-quality visual storytelling, and support the next generation of conservationists—especially those with non-traditional or underrepresented paths.
As a neurodivergent creative, I navigate the world through patterns, systems, and the stories they tell. My work weaves between science, strategy, and visual narrative—balancing structure and intuition, exploration and deep research.
You’ll find me anywhere the ocean meets the human experience: cataloguing life beneath the surface, writing about complexity with care, or quietly crafting projects that will outlive the algorithm.
